Mercury Drug Suki Daybook 2015

Every year, before the calendar turns its page to a new year, I purchase a daily planner for myself so I could keep track my usual hectic schedule and of course to list down my plans for the near future. I usually visit National Bookstore to find an affordable yet very useful daily planner.

Until this afternoon, after lunch with my friends and officemates, we went to Mecury Drugstore to buy coffee sachets from its convenience store. While the cashier was scanning the price tag of my purchases she offered me to avail their SukiDaybook2015 because I already have 30 points in my Suki Card.

I asked her if she could show me a sample item. While getting the daybook out of the box I immediately noticed the elegant red color of the book's hard cover. It also has a magnetic seal so your private and confidential information will not be disclosed that easy.

The space per date is very limited though but it's also a notebook so I think I can also use these pages for other additional things that I want to write down.

It also has nice to know facts and trivia at the footer of each page and what's more interesting is that it has promo coupons that I can use to avail discounts for my Mercury Drug purchases.

The Verdict:

I asked my friend's opinion and she told me this book is okay for a notebook to jut down notes but not so okay for a daily planner to list down important appointments and plans. The one-liner space per date is good enough to note birthdays and anniversaries. Therefore out of 1 to 10, I can give it a rating of 7. 😀

Locale of Pintong Bukawe, District of Rizal (Part 2)

Globe Telecoms has very very low and very intermittent signal in this place. I cannot even buy Suncell prepaid load in the store across the street.

My mom saw a laundered choir robe hanging outside another store adjacent to the house of worship. There we met Bro. Jo, an officer of SCAN in this locale. He also introduced us to his wife and daughter, both are also church officers. I bought some turon (wrapped banana) and waited in the SCAN office while mom socialize with them.

12:30pm when my brother arrived from performing his church duties. Only then we were able to cook for lunch. Mom and I did the laundry and washed the dishes. Jeff on the other hand watched tv.

Here are some more photos of his place.

This is the house of worship from the outside. The 3-color banner is hanging in the canopy.

This is the gate, taken from the inside of the compound.

The inside of the house of worship looks awesome and neat. It's humble in size but well kept. I'm just not sure if I can post them here.

At 5:00pm, mom and I bid farewell to my brother and the other church officers. Since the transportation is limited, we were sent to the main road by one of their head deacons via a tricycle.

Locale of Pintong Bukawe, District of Rizal (Part 1)

Last May 1, mom and I visited my brother's destination assignment in Locale of Pintong Bukawe in the Ecclesiatical District of Rizal.

To get there, we took MRT from Taft Ave. station and alight in Cubao. Along Aurora Blvd. we took a jeepney going to Cogeo, Antipolo City. Good thing, that day was a non-working holiday so the traffic was not so heavy.

When we arrived in Cogeo, in front of Puregold Jr. is a jeepney terminal going to Maarat and Pintong Bukawe. While waiting for the other passengers to board, mom asked me if we should already buy some food to cook. I refused thinking that probably we could just buy some meat or fish when we get there. I didn't know that there's really no market in that area and residents have to travel to Cogeo to buy food for storage.

It was already 10:45am when we arrived there. The road was so rough and dusty. My brother was not yet around when we get there and we cannot get inside his house. I took some photos of the INC compound while mom is looking for someone to help us.
This the locale's signage posted in fence.

This is the guard house / SCAN office.

First Year Anniversary of Kabayan Ko Kapatid Ko

Blessed I am when I joined the choir that performed during the special Worship Service officiated by Bro. Eduardo Manalo held last April 26, 2014 at the Mall of Asia Grounds for the celebration of the first year anniversary of Kabayan Ko, Kapatid Ko (My Countrymen, My Brethren), an evangelical and relief-medical mission of the Iglesia Ni Cristo. This event also serves as one of the pre-centennial activities of the Church which will be celebrating its 100thyear anniversary on July 27.
