June Almost Ends

Whoa! Look at the calendar... June almost ends... and it's gonna be July
this coming Sunday! Anniversary Thanksgiving is drawing near so I expect my
days would be more busy on the coming weeks...

Oh, and by the way, on Sunday, it's gonna be RPD's birthday! Well, I wished
RPD a birthday greetings and replied my email. That's all... No more follow
ups. It's better that way.

And on the 2nd Saturday of July, my TIFP schooling will start. I'm excited
but at the same time a little bit confused with my schedule. I'm having a
lot of conflicts on my calendar. I wish I would be able to handle them
smoothly. It's all because July 14 is also the Thanksgiving Worship Service
Day for the CWS. Oh! I just remember, at 12:00 noon, the monthly schedule
of DP for all the Choir Administrators will be moved earlier on July 14.
Ah!!! What a busy schedule. And on Sunday, July 22, we are scheduled to
proceed to the Tabernacle, Central for the grand choir rehearsal.
Exhausting schedule, isn't it?

Look at the time! Imagine how time flies. It's almost 12 o'clock and that
means it's almost time for lunch... Thursday is halfway. Friday is near.
Wonderful!

The Audition

June 19, 2012. My office meeting got extended past 6:00pm and I had to send
an email summarizing what have been discussed during the meeting. So as
soon as I got out of the office building, I hailed the next available taxi.

There was a little traffic build up on my way to the Locale of
Proprietarios but luckily I arrived at the venue at around 7:30pm and their
English Choir is having a practice. According to other members of MCC, the
vocalization and a few song rehearsal started an hour ago but they had to
take a break to give way to English Choir rehersal. I grabbed this
opportunity to eat two hotdogs on stick. Godfrey arrived shortly after me
and was looking for some heavy meal, like rice, to eat.

Immediately after the choir practice, we went back inside the church and
sitted per section - S1, S2, A1, A2, T1, T2, B1, and B2 regardless of from
which locale we belong. Momentarily, everyone got shocked when Bro Jun
announced that the audition is postponed and will be having a resched.

After the locale's devotional prayer, fortunately, Bro Jun changed his mind
and called on the coordinators and required us to arrange ourselves on the
per octet groupings.

My name is listed in groups 1, 2 and 4. The setup was octet 1 of both
locales, Malibay and Proprietarios, will sing at the same time with
different set of judges. That was to save time and get the audition done at
10:00pm. I was a little bit nervous because, of course, this is the make or
break moment of my life, whether I will become a part of the 1000 voices. I
know that the whole MCC family is nervous as well, especially Charles.

While singing, I really tried to move my body along the melody of the songs
to throw the tension away from my system. When our octet group was done,
the nervousness just melted away. Obviously, the members of the other octet
group felt the same after the audition.

With high hopes that we will all get a passed remarks beside our names, we
left the venue happily.
